Andrea Babbin

Meet Andrea:

Andrea is a coach at CrossFit Catch. Andrea has been with us for over 6 years, has a level 2 certification and a passion for the sport. While being a competitor herself, Andrea uses her skills from High school as a former All Western Mass Gymnast to excel in CrossFit Competitions; with previously being ranked in the top 100 World Wide for the CrossFit masters 35+ division. She was a two sport high school varsity athlete who continued track throughout her college years. Andrea has moved all around the Country but ultimately made it back to her hometown to pursue what she loves doing - helping people strive in the fitness industry. When Andrea steps into the box, her Coach mode is always activated. She is constantly focused on making sure Catch athletes are aware of the proper CrossFit fundamental skills.

During her spare time, Andrea enjoys camping, traveling and spending time with her family. Along with being a mother of soon to be four, a CrossFit Coach, a bootcamp instructor, she still finds times to help others in the main gym through personal training as well as getting her workout in daily. Jen Mattson

Coach

Meet Jen:

Jen was a tri-sport varsity captain/ athlete in HS. She was named “All League” in
soccer. A Wester Mass champion in softball. And a two time league champion in
basketball. Then in college her soccer team advanced to the national playoffs placing
6th in the US. She also played college basketball.

Jen, JBoom on the white board, started cross fi t in 2016. It was intimidating to try at first,
but immediately a very fun form of fitness! In 2017 she entered her first cross fit
competition, that’s when it became more of a sport. The competition atmosphere
sparked that athletic feeling again, after many years of searching for a sport since
college ended. She considers Catch her team. Jen has a level 1 for coaching and has
over 5 years of experience. Her favorite part of cross fit is learning, observing and
practicing efficiency techniques and training intentionally with a mindset to execute them
and improve.

Each time Jen coaches she hopes to share a tip or trick she learned along the way; but
also make each athlete laugh somehow. Let’s gooo!!!

Joe Borelli

Coach

Meet Joe:

Joe was born and raised in West Springfield, Massachusetts, and he still calls it home today. He is all about family, fitness, faith and service with an extra focus on progress over perfection. Joe currently works at a high-level charter school. In addition to being a trainer at Catch, Joe also is a personal trainer and lifestyle coach. His focus is on how he can uplift and improve the lives of those around him.

Joe has an undergraduate degree in Movement Science/ Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education. Joe has played competitive sports his entire life. In high school, he played soccer, track,
swimming and lacrosse. In college, he played varsity soccer for Holyoke Community College and Westfield State College. He did have a small stint on the team called the Springfield Legends, a semi-professional indoor soccer team. After soccer had finished, he continued to look for new challenges as he joined boxing and wrestling clubs, helped area college teams during in season practice, and coached high school sports teams.

After a serious health issue, a change in jobs and passing of 2 very close family members over a decade ago – Joe found himself out of shape and unhealthy for the first time in his life with a negative mindset. He made a decision that he was not going to continue this way. Joe rediscovered his passion for fitness and started on a new journey. With this revitalized outlook, he soon realized that there are many similarities to life, education and fitness. He understood that there has to be a lifestyle approach to it all and all things intertwine. Along the way and a renewed mindset about life that came with his journey, he realized that many people may need help with their own journey in life.
